Practice

What we do

Our practice operates across six disciplines. Each commission is shaped by the place it sits in and the people who will use it — the program is the starting point, never the conclusion.

/ 01

Residential

Single-family homes and small multi-unit buildings. We work closely with clients across all stages, from brief to handover.

/ 02

Civic

Libraries, community halls, transport pavilions, public restrooms — buildings that belong to everyone and must earn that trust.

/ 03

Cultural

Galleries, performance spaces, studios, and exhibition design. We've worked with public arts bodies and independent foundations.

/ 04

Landscape

Gardens, courtyards, edge conditions, and large-scale planting strategies that work with local climate and ecology.

/ 05

Interiors

Independent fit-outs for hospitality, retail, and workplace. Approached with the same rigour as our built work.

/ 06

Research

Speculative commissions, publications, and contributions to exhibitions. Published biannually in our journal, Margins.

About the studio

Founded in 2007.

We started in a small terrace house in Bangsar with two desks and a borrowed plotter. Eighteen years on, the studio occupies the second floor of an old shophouse in Brickfields — and we still draw by hand before we draw on screens.

Our work has been recognised by the PAM Awards, the AR Asian Awards, and Aga Khan Award nominations. We teach at UTM and Taylor's, and publish our research biannually in our own journal, Margins.

We take on a small number of new commissions each year. If you have a project you'd like to discuss, we'd be glad to hear from you.
